This month, we proudly celebrated Second Hand September by collaborating with nearly 20 of our brand partners to host exclusive activations and promotions. Our goal was to inspire consumers to embrace circular shopping habits, ensuring products are kept out of landfills and given a second life.
As the month drew to a close, Archive marked the occasion with an exclusive cocktail and second hand shopping event at Blank Studio in SoHo. The intimate gathering featured four of our brand partners—Agua by Agua Bendita, DVF, Christy Dawn, and Maje—alongside a renowned NYC vintage curator, Heart & Lou’s, who offered attendees the chance to shop a curated collection of secondhand and vintage pieces.
Guests enjoyed autumn-inspired cocktails, light bites, and a panel discussion that highlighted the importance of resale in fashion today. The panel featured insights from our CEO, Emily Gittins; Maje’s Senior Brand Director, Maddie Guthrie Ashton; Christy Dawn’s Director of Ecommerce, Sam Pick; and DVF’s Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, Olympia Scott. Together, they shared their perspectives on their respective resale programs and why Archive has been a perfect partner in this journey.
As we wrap up Second Hand September 2024, we reflect on the growing shift towards conscious consumerism and the positive impact of resale on both the environment and the fashion industry. At Archive, we remain committed to supporting brands as they expand their resale initiatives, and we look forward to continuing to lead the way in fostering a more circular, sustainable future for fashion.
